An alternative viewpoint in the prepping world
I have been a student of my own mind for many years and I’ve come to see a recurring theme in most prepping sites and books.
Its all about fear mongering, the preconceived notions that “someone ” is out to get them. Doesn’t matter if the neighbors are nosy or big government is watching.
The far out radicals are saying its “end times” and the reasonable people are just trying to get along with the house, kids and jobs. Im at a loss as to why the lack of common sense comes out from mostly normal people when they get on rants about everything from Monsanto to Missile sites in Texas.
When you wake up in the morning, be thankful. Look out the window, the world is still there.
Be thankful your house is still standing, your kids are safe, you have hot water to shower in and food to eat ( unless you have teens, then there is no telling). Be thankful you have a job, and if you are in a relationship, that you have someone who loves you.
Be thankful for toilet paper and indoor plumbing
Take a few minutes and review the people in your life. Take a real look at what their motivations are, and how their daily actions and attitudes effect you. Negativity and “doom and gloomer’s” just drag you down. It’s great to prep, and its fun. But don’t let others stress you out and shorten your life.
I removed every person in my life who caused me stress or drama. I simply do not allow it in. I am a very happy person, very content in my skin. I used to worry about everything and all I managed to do is create stress where there was none.
There are many things happening to us we have no control over. What you do have control over is the way you deal with things.
And that is the most important prep of all
