Regarding training opportunities
I have been inundated with questions about training I am able to provide, and I am amazed with the numbers of “instructors” who are out there on the net people are asking me for training.
I don’t provide training for profit. Other than if you know how to take care of yourself I don’t have to babysit when the time comes for the herd to thin itself out. I teach HAM radio classes and I am more than willing to talk trapping . I am more of a do’er than a post online and get fat kind of guy. I avoid the firearms talks..arguments? because frankly if someone asks me something they are either trying to feel good about the decision they have already made or they want me to tell them cheap is good enough.
Good gear is not always expensive, but cheap gear always is.
Take some time without the colored glasses to research every aspect of who you choose to spend your money on. There are a few in the SouthWest who make a living charging way to much for basic weapons handling and range classes. If you dont know who these are as opposed to the ones who are giving good material at a reasonable cost, email me. I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
Take a hard look at the resume they post.
If everything there is bought with a credit card and not actually experienced you might consider looking elsewhere for your hard earned money to go. If they spout the same thing seen on multiple online forums then maybe that’s where they got the experience they are teaching you from.
No one in particular here, just an observation from multiple inquiries to my email.
So I hope this covers the questions I have recieved , I apologize for not responding promptly or to individuals. This last month has been a “full contact” month for me and Im barely coming up for air
