Fathers day gifts for a prepper dad.
Since I was asked what is my recommendation for a Fathers day present, here they are.
1-Ultralight Rocket camp stove -This is a small stove, screws onto Butane or propane canisters found in most dept or sporting goods stores Very light, a good start on a BOB cook set Around $10
2-Lifestraw Family water Purifier 1.0 – This is a gravity fed water purifier, not just a filter. A gift for Dad but useful for peace of mind for the entire family. Around $70
3- Sawyer 4 pack Water filtration system-Load up the families BOB’s or just buy 1 for Dad. These are great because unlike most filters you can drink from a bottle with any size top easily without spilling. Everything from a store bought plastic water bottle with a small top to a Nalgene bottle
Around $18 for 1 filter
4- In my opinion, the Ultimate BOB Hammock- Hennessy Explorer Deluxe side zip hammock. The side zip makes it easier and more popular with serious users to get in and out than the bottom opening, as well as allowing you to use the hammock with or without the bug net, i.e. as a suspended chair for relaxing and taking your boots off.
5- The cup everyone will try to steal from Dad at work, as well as an addition to grab on the way out for his BOB
Snow Peak Double Wall 450 CupAround $65
6- What’s a cup without a matching spoon- Light My Fire titanium spork- Awesome combination for his lunch box , his desk at work to make the co-workers envious and in his get home bag
7-Safe-t-proof solar hand crank emergency radio, flashlight beacon and cell phone charger– Dads car, BOB and preps at home aren’t complete without a receiver as well as a light not needing batteries. A good addition to a gear box for local emergencies when cell networks are up but no power to recharge a phone as well.Around $28
Every Dad needs 3 things
A good pair (or 3 ) of gloves Around $20
A Lighter which works all the time, everywhere. It doesn’t matter if he’s a smoker or not. I don’t smoke and I never leave the house without a way to start or set something on fire
One of my Favorites Visol Storm High altitude
And a flashlight he will carry, and use.
I have 3 of these
A huge plus here, they run on 1 AA battery, they are LED so no bulb to break and they are small enough to drop in a pair of dress or work pants pocket. A clip holds them in your off side pocket, so you draw your pistol with 1 hand, light with the other
Best of all, they are around 4$ each!!!!!!
And that is my list of Fathers Day Gifts for a Prepper Dad
I welcome comments …..
